Amer Fort Jaipur | How to reach?
One of the main tourist destinations in Jaipur, the great Amer Palace Fort is located on a small hill and is located about 18 km from the capital. The majestic Amer Fort is a large house of light yellow and pink sandstone and white marble. The wall is divided into four parts and has a courtyard inside.
Amer was the
capital of the Kingdom of Jaipur and home to the Rajput rulers. Maharaja Man
Singh I, who commanded the army of the Mughal emperor Akbar, began building in
1592 on the remains of an 11th century fortress. The fort was added to Amber
Fort before the city moved to Jaipur in 1727. The fort was declared a UNESCO
World Heritage Site in 2013 as part of a group of six mountain forts in
Rajasthan. Architecture is a major combination of Rajput (Hindu) and Mughal
(Islamic) styles.
A popular
way to reach the top of Amber Fort is to ride an elephant from Jaleb Chowk
Station. However, due to elephant health concerns, some tourists have now
decided not to do so. You have to pay 1200-1500 INR rupees (which will take two people at the same time)
for an elephant ride. There are also morning bus rides from 7:00 to 11:30
and afternoon rides. However, he was abandoned in November 2017 so that the
elephant could rest. Please arrive as soon as possible due to high demand and
lack of advance booking.
Upon arrival at Amer Fort, enter Suraj Pol. If you do not drive, enter via Chand Pol. Two gates opened to the main airport, Jaleb Chowk, who used the returning soldiers to report his thieves. The wall consists of several parts, including the royal room, jennanas (where women lived), gardens, temples and more.
Many can be found in Kali mata mandir, diwan-e-aam and American fortifications such as Sheesh Mahal. Amer Fort also has underground connections to Amer and Jaigarh Fort. This tunnel has been restored and is now open to the public. Overall, Amer Fort is a perfect example of Rajasthani architecture that you must see.The Amer Fort theme is embodied in the beautiful lighting and sound show inside the fort, where visitors can view the history of fort.
Jal Mahal and Jai-garh fort are very close to Amer Fort approx. at a distance of 2 kms from Amer fort. Both of them are also on the way to Amer Fort when someone is travelling to Amer Fort from Jaipur city or from Jaipur Railway Junction or from Badi chaupar, one should watch all these three old monuments together as they are near to each other.
