👉Maharaja Vishvendra Singh (born  June 23, 1962) is an Indian politician. He is currently a Minister in the Government of Rajasthan, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation. He currently(in 2022 )is a member of Indian National Congress(I.N.C).

 

👉Prior to 2008, he was connected  with the Bhartiya Janta Party(B.J.P)  and Janata Dal party. Singh joined the congress in 2008 following the dispute with his party colleague Digamber Singh. Being Vishvendra a royal he always had political advantages but he lost to Digamber Singh in 2008, this victory gave Digamber a better hand on Vishvendra. Digamber was then  considered the leader of the Jats in Rajasthan.

 

👉He is currently serving as Minister of Tourism in Department of civil aviation in the Government of Rajasthan . He elected as Member of  Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Deeg-Kumher constituency in 2013 & 2018 election from Bharatpur district in eastern Rajasthan. He is a three-time Member of Parliament(M.P), Lok Sabha from Bharatpur, Rajasthan.In 2018, he became a member of the Cabinet in ministry of Gehlot. Currently(in 2022) he is member of legislative assembly(M.L.A) of Rajasthan from Deeg-Kumher region in Bharatpur & cabinet minister also in govt. Of Rajasthan.

 

👉He is the son of last ruler of Bharatpur. He works for the welfare of bharatpur people. He opposed the alligations on Maharaja Surajmal Ji that was portrayed in a Bollywood Movie named Panipat. Later Directors(Ashutosh Gowariker) of that movie have to edit the part in which they portrayed Surajmal ji of Greedy nature which is a disrespect to Great king of Bharatpur. Vishvendra Singh lives a royal life. He has large Haveli(Mansion) in  Bharatpur

 

He Married on Feb 15, 1989 with HH Maharani Divya Kumari born on Nov 6, 1963, Lucknow. She is daughter of Raja Surendra Singh Ju Dev of Behri, She studied B.A at Isabella Thorburn College, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. They have a son, Yuvaraj Anirudh Singh.
