👉Sariska National Park, also known as Sariska Tiger Reserve is a wildlife Sanctuary in Rajasthan. Sariska is a major tourist destination of India and famous for its national park or tiger reserve. Located in the northwest of Rajasthan, Sariska as wildlife attractions of Rajasthan Tourism plays an important role in enhancing of tourism in Rajasthan. At the distance of 35 km from Alwar, against the backdrop of the Aravali Hills, Sariska is an extraordinarily peaceful and peaceful travel destination.

👉Sariska is one of the few remaining pockets of forest in the Aravalli mountain range and the area now covers 492.29 sq.kms. as the core area. The reserve has been under Project Tiger since 1979 and before that since 1955, a small sanctuary. The forest is hilly with two extensive plateaus like topography-i.e. Kankari and Kiraska and a wide valley starting at Baran Tal Gate and running south to Thanagazi, At the north eastern corner, just off the road between Alwar and Sariska is the Siliserh lake.
👉Alwar though game viewing and the lake area is poor,
crocodiles are often seen and during the winter there are many migrant birds of
water. At Sariska opposite to Baran Tal Gate of the reserve is a magnificent
palace built in 1902 by Maharaja Jai Singh of Alwar as a base for his elaborate
shoots. The low average rainfall of 54 cm. becomes major limiting factor for
the animals. Forest department has provided artificial water holes to attract
wildlife and tourists..

strong historical past, Sariska is mainly famous for Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary
and Tiger Reserve. A large gathering of tourists come here from all over the
world to visit Sariska and see the Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. Sariska offers
an exciting wildlife experience. Along the age of Sariska National Park, there
is a breath-taking Siliserh Lake and a charming hunting lodge overlooking it.
This hunting lodge is a spectacular place to stay for travellers. Apart from
wildlife, Sariska also has forts, palaces and temples which are worth visiting.
Sariska Palace built by the ruler of Alwar, K Anakwari Fort and the ancient
temple of Lord Shiva are worth visiting.

National Park is located at a distance of 37 kilometres from Alwar in Rajasthan,
India. Sariska is located in the middle of the Aravalli which are covered with
dry deciduous forests. Sariska Nature Reserve in Rajasthan, India is home to
wild animals such as leopard, hyena, wild dog, jackal, jungle cat, Bengal fox,
common palm civet, hare Indian, honey badger, Indian gray mongoose, northern
squirrel and tiger.

National Park is home to animals such as Sambar, Chausingha, Nilgai,
Chital, Boar, Langurs and Rhesus
Monkeys. It is also home to several species of birds such as peacock, black
grouse, gray partridge, tree pie, bush quail, golden-backed woodpecker, great
horned owl and crested serpent eagle .

tigers and the best time to visit Sariska
Wildlife Sanctuary is perhaps during the months of October to June, although
the sanctuary is open all year.
Successfully spot a number of wild
animals that come to cool off at the waterholes during the summer months when
there is severe water shortage in the Sariska Nature Park.

reach ?

One can get
off Sawai Madhopur railway station to reach Sariska, approximately 11 km away.
Tourist taxis are also accessible from Sawai Madhopur railway station.
🚍BY BUS
Regular bus
services connect Sariska with other towns in the state. Public transport buses
connect Sariska to Jaipur (100 km) and Alwar (36 km). Private local bus
services are also available to reach this park
