👉Karni Mata Temple is located in Deshnok, Bikaner district of Rajasthan. Karni mata is one of the main goddess of hindu religion. The main attraction of the fair is the presence of a statue of the goddess Karni Mata. The fair is famous for its traditional dances and folk shows. This temple in Bikaner and all over Rajasthan as well as in India is also famous for large number of mice present here in this temple.
👉Karni Mata
fair is held during Navratri. It is held twice a year during Ashwin Shukla Ekam
in Ashwin Shukla Dashmi and Chaitra Shukla Ekam in Chaitra Shukla Dashmi. Karni
Mata Temple is also known as the Temple of Rats due to its huge population of
mice, some 20,000 inhabitants within the temple premises. Most mice are
black but there are also white mice. The sighting of white rats is considered
very auspicious as these are believed to be incarnations of Goddess Karni Mata
and her four children.
👉Apart from
the presence of these mice, the temple is also famous for the Karni Mata
festival, also known as the Karni Mata Fair, which is held twice a year during
the Navratri period i.e. in April, May and October November; what happens
between April and May is more extravagant and lively. It is held twice a year during Ashwin Shukla Ekam in Ashwin
Shukla Dashmi and Chaitra Shukla Ekam in Chaitra Shukla Dashmi. There are no
exact dates of the festival as it varies according to the traditional Hindu
calendar. The festival takes place in Deshnok near Bikaner.

Distance from Bikaner Junction is 29.5 Km and Distance from Lalgarh Railway
Station is 32 kms. One can take State-run buses/ private buses that are easily
accessible from nearby towns and cities at low-cost.
