👉Dr. Digambar Singh was Minister of Industries in the BJP government of Vasundhra Raje in Rajasthan. He was born on October 1, 1951 in Barkhera Faujdar village in Bharatpur district. His father was Jawahar Singh Sinsinwar and his mother Ramkali Devi.

 

👉He did MBBS from Jodhpur Medical College in Rajasthan and served in the medical department till 1992. In 1993 he was elected as MLA from Kumher seat in Bharatpur district. He served as Minister of Health in Rajasthan and later in Dec 2009 was appointed Minister of Industries. He was Vice President of the 20 Point program. Besides a good doctor, he lived and worked most of his time for his motherland i.e. bharatpur and for the welfare of people of bharatpur. He was the true son of bharatpur.

 

👉Dr. Digamber Singh married Asha Singh on January 19, 1976. His first child name is Shilpi Singh, born on January 9, 1979, and she is alsoa Doctor. His second child name is Dr. Shailesh Singh born on July 20, 1980 is also Doctor. Shailesh is a doctor turned politician just like his father and continues in his father's footsteps. He was also Chairman of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Bharatpur; the post was once held by his father in his early days as a politician. Dr. Sailesh Singh lives with his family in Bharatpur.

 

👉Dr.Singh linked up with the Bharatiya Janta party in the late 1980s. In the early 1990s, he was nominated as Bharatiya Janta Party's Bharatpur District Chairman.His tenure as District Chairman is largely attributable to the reason for founding the Party in eastern Rajasthan.First elected to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 1993 by Kumher in Bharatpur at the age of 43.Later, he fought and lost in the 1996 general election against Natwar Singh.

 

👉He was re-elected in 1998 as a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).Dr.Singh also had a close relation with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh who helped him to become a minister. 

 

👉He went on to win the 2003 Rajasthan elections in Kumher and was later nominated as Minister of Health in the Rajasthan government under the leadership of Vasundhara Raje.  Here too, he succeeded and called as "Minister of Resolved Problems" of the Government of Vasundhara .

 

👉Under his skilful position, the Ministry of Health has also reached a new topographical point and many charitable programs and awareness campaigns have been launched. Singh's most notable achievement is considered to be the "108 Ambulance Seva"

 

👉Dr.Singh died on October 27, 2017 after a prolonged illness battling stage four pancreatic cancer, diagnosed in April 2015[citation needed]. He had undergone treatment in the United States, Singapore and Portugal. He was admitted to EHCC Hospital, Jaipur on  October 18, 2017[citation needed] after his condition deteriorated.


👉Dr. Singh has Various Education institutions in Rajasthan and a hospital in Bharatpur. He is founder of Digambar Nursing College, Bharatpur.


👉Rajasthan Prime Minister Vasundhara Raje along with several other BJP leaders went to the hospital to express their grief. He had served as a minister in the government of Rajasthan led by Vasundhara Raje.
