👉Bharatpur , famous for keoladeo national park is a district of Rajasthan state of India, also known as the “Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan”, is located in the Braj or Brij region around 180 kilometers from Delhi. Geographically, the territory is located between 26 ° 22 'and 27 ° 83' N and 76 ° 53 'and 78 ° 17' E and its average altitude above sea level is around 183 m.
👉In history bharatpur is always known for the bravery of Jat rulers here and they never allow any other Mughal or foreign invasion on them and always defeated them. British Empire was also unsuccessful in defeating them

👉Bharatpur is the administrative headquarters of Bharatpur district and Bharatpur division which includes Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur districts of Rajasthan. Bharatpur is located in the eastern part of Rajasthan, on the National Highway 8 (NH 8). It is also the junction of NH-48 and NH-21, which form the eastern and western corridors of the Golden Triangle, respectively. The district of Bharatpur has an area of about 5066 km2and a population of 2,548,462 (2011 census).As it is close to golden triangle cities of India, this boosts tourism here.

👉Bharatpur is known as the "City of Birds " because of Keoladeo National park which is recognized by UNESCO and Ramsar wetland sites.
👉The city of Bharatpur is a
territory itself because its culture and history is very different and this
territory is also famous with its old name "Lohagarh". It is situated
very close to the major cities of Rajasthan and other states. The distance
between Jaipur and Bharatpur is about 178 km while Agra is located at a distance
of around 55 km from the district.
👉Mathura is situated at a distance of around 34 km. Bharatpur impinging Gurgaon of
Haryana to the north, Mathura to the east, Agra of Uttar Pradesh and Dholpur of
Rajasthan to the south, and Dausa and Alwar to the west.

in this territory, namely Banga, Rooparel and Gamhir. Ban Ganga begins at
Ramgarh barrier(Dam) of Jaipur District, passes through Bharatpur and meets
in Gambhir River near its tehsil(small
town) Bayana of Bharatpur District.
👉Gambhir River originates
from Panchna Dam in Karauli District of Rajasthan and after passing through
Bharatpur it just meets Yamuna River in
Uttar Pradesh.The Rooparel originates from the hills of Alwar district in
Rajasthan and enters into Bharatpur from its tehsil Kaman.
👉A Barrier(dam), namely
Bandh Baretha, is situated close to a village
Baretha on the Kakund river flowing from the hills of Karauli district in Rajasthan.The water of
this dam is generally used for drinking and
irrigation in this neighborhood. The capacity of this dam is 684.00
million cubic feet.
👉The place was
endeavour by a tribal community from the
Sinsinwar clan, which come in India in AD 100. The city of Lohagad was built in
1505 AD and formulated and known as a state of Jat which was later never ruled by no other king
of India rather than Jats of Bharatpur.
👉In 1733 AD, Maharaja Suraj Mal made-up the city of Bharatpur. It is evaluated to be a well-fortified urban center during his reign. Bharatpur was unveil by Mewat and named after Lord Bharat (brother of Lord Rama).
